OurPact is a new parental monitoring app that every parent should checkout!
1. To monitor your child’s device to make sure they are not off task.
2. To encourage time management.
3. To feel comfortable and give them some responsibility online without having to hover of them the entire time.
When it comes to children and technology, parents should be able to monitor what their child uses. My daughter is only 5 years old and she has her own “ipad”. Crazy I know, but when her mommy is a computer teacher and your daddy loves technology as well this is inedible. I have even been teaching my daughter coding.
I have found out that most of her time on her iPad lately has been used to play games. I am okay with my daughter playing games but I don’t want that to consume most of her time unless they are educational. With the OurPact app they have an allowance feature that allows parents to determine how many hours each week and day that their child is using their device. It also puts them on a schedule where you can allow them only blocks of time where they can use their device.
Being able to control my daughter’s iPad from my iPhone is an awesome feature. OurPact has a really good review score on iTunes. It is REALLY easy to use. All you need to do is download the app and login. Then on your child’s device go to the URL and log in to your OurPact account. You can now control your kid’s device!
